On June 13, 2013, we got our Bill introduced to the New York State Assembly by Assemblyman Al Graf with 24 Co-sponsors: BILL NO A07994 - AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to the common core state standards initiative and the race to the top program
Our sincere thanks to Assemblyman Graf and all the Co-sponsors of this Bill.

The work is far from over. We've won the battle, but there's still a war to be fought. Mobilize in your districts and get in touch with your state representatives. We are planning a phone-blitz for Friday, June 14, but you can call your representatives at any time. Now that we have a bill and a number, it's time to ring up your reps, folks, and let them know that you want their support for this bill! Let's roll!

See our Upcoming Events page to find out about two FREE Common Core information nights on Long Island:  Monday, June 17th in Ronkonkoma and Tuesday, June 18th in New Hyde Park.

Welcome to P-TACC!  Although we started in New York, P-TACC is here for anyone in any state who shares our concerns and is working to stop Common Core.

Our goal is to restore our State's Consitutional Right via the 10th Amendment to control education, to draft a bill to withdraw New York State from the Common Core, and to release New York State from the Federal "Race To the Top" Program requirements of:

1) Common Standards, K-12
2) Teacher evaluations linked to state tests and student assessments
3) Data systems to collect, access and share student information

What can WE do?

1. Please sign and share our petition below.

2. Contact our Assemblymen/women and ask them to draft the above bill which is similar to Indiana and Georgia's bills. You can find your local Assemblyman above in the tab labeled documents. When emailing them, send them The Common Core Story, as well as the Race to the Top Executive Summary and Promoting Grit, Tenacity and Perseverance links. They can be found in the tab labeled documents.

3. Create awareness! Check our EVENTS tab daily as we always have meetings, calls and webinars of The Common Core Story. They are great tools to use to get the word out. Knowledge is Power!

The possibility of drafting a bill for NY to withdraw from Common Core is VERY likely IF together we create awareness AND contact our Assemblymen asking them to do it! WE CAN DO THIS!!!! GAME ON NY!!!! GAME ON!!!!!!!
